I spent 2 years digesting mostof what the University of Colorado at Boulderhad, on it's plate to offer me in their photography program. It didn't fill me up.Still hungry, I packed up my truck and drovewest to Brooke’s Institute of Photography. I received a BA degree in 2006 and my lifecourse was set. As a new photographer, deciding whichcoast to call home was my next challenge. Born in Montauk, NY, but also raised in Kauai, I am a true beachcomber at heart. I'd much prefer riding a wave, then wearing high heels. In choosingbetween the cold concrete streets of Manhattan, or the sun's glare off the ocean in California,the sand and sea won. It remains, 6 years later, the best reflection of mysoul and my images. However, beinga product of both the hardworking ethicsof New York, and the Aloha Spirit of Hawaii, I feel I blend both attributes in myphotography as well as in my client relationships. I live in the creative heart of Venice, California. Each day I get towitness and marvel at it's movementand vitality. It's a constant source ofinspiration for me, as well as for my photography.My plate is finally full. |
